先週せんしゅうの金曜日きんようび、私わたしは一人ひとりで映画館えいがかんへ行いきました。
アニメの映画えいがと犬いぬの映画えいががありました。
私わたしはアニメが好すきですが、アニメの映画えいがは犬いぬの映画えいがより長ながかったです。
犬いぬの映画えいがは三時半さんじはんから四時半よじはんまででした。
五時ごじに駅えきでマリアさんに会あいますから、長ながい映画えいがは見みることができませんでした。
ですから、映画館えいがかんの人ひとに「じゃあ、犬いぬの映画えいがのチケットを一枚いちまいください」と言いいました。

• 〜から〜まで and durations 〜から〜まで marks the start and the end of a span (‘from … to …’). A duration counter such as 〜時間じかん or 〜週間しゅうかん says how long something lasts. 犬いぬの映画えいがは三時半さんじはんから四時半よじはんまででした。(“The dog movie was from 3:30 to 4:30.”)

The Dog Movie

Last Friday, I went to the movie theater alone.
There was an anime movie and a dog movie.
I like anime, but the anime movie was longer than the dog movie.
The dog movie was from 3:30 to 4:30.
I was meeting Maria-san at the station at 5:00, so I could not watch a long movie.
So I said to the person at the movie theater, “Well then, please give me one ticket for the dog movie.”
