教室きょうしつの窓まどと鳥とり

朝あさ、私わたしは学校がっこうの教室きょうしつにいます。
窓まどが開あいていますから、とても寒さむいです。
私わたしはすぐ窓まどを閉しめたいです。
でも、窓まどの近ちかくに小ちいさい鳥とりがいますから、私わたしは静しずかに待まっています。
鳥とりが外そとへ行いってから、私わたしは窓まどを閉しめました。
今いま、教室きょうしつの中なかは暖あたたかいですから、私わたしは「よかった」と思おもいます。

• 【Vて + います】Resultant state (something is in a state after an action happened). Example: 「窓まどが開あいていますから、とても寒さむいです。」 Here, 開あきます → 開あいています means “the window is open” (it is currently in the open state), not “is opening.”
• 【〜てから】After doing ~. Example: 「鳥とりが外そとへ行いってから、私わたしは窓まどを閉しめました。」 This means “After the bird went outside, I closed the window.”
• 【〜から】Because/so (gives a reason). Example: 「窓まどが開あいていますから、とても寒さむいです。」 The clause before から is the reason (“Because the window is open”), and the clause after is the result (“it is very cold”).

The Classroom Window and the Bird

In the morning, I am in the school classroom.
Because the window is open, it is very cold.
I want to close the window right away.
But because there is a small bird near the window, I am waiting quietly.
After the bird went outside, I closed the window.
Now, the inside of the classroom is warm, so I think, ‘Thank goodness.’
