駅えきで財布さいふをなくした話はなし

今朝けさ、駅えきに財布さいふを忘わすれました。
でも、駅員えきいんさんが見みつけてくれました。
私わたしはすぐに駅えきへ行いって、「ありがとうございます」と言いいました。
駅員えきいんさんは財布さいふを返かえしてくれました。
そのあと、家いえでお金かねを数かぞえて、安心あんしんしました。

• て-form linking actions The て-form joins two actions in order: Xて、Yます means ‘do X and then Y’. Only the last verb carries the tense and the politeness. 私わたしはすぐに駅えきへ行いって、「ありがとうございます」と言いいました。(“I quickly went to the station and said, ‘Thank you.’”)
• 〜てあげます / 〜てもらいます / 〜てくれます After a て-form, あげます, もらいます and くれます mark an action done as a favour: doing it for someone, having it done for you, or someone doing it for me. でも、駅員えきいんさんが見みつけてくれました。(“But a station staff member found it.”)

This morning, I forgot my wallet at the station.
But a station staff member found it.
I quickly went to the station and said, “Thank you.”
The station staff member said, “It’s okay,” and returned the wallet.
After that, at home I counted the money and felt relieved.
