新幹線しんかんせんの切符きっぷ

二日ふつか前まえ、私わたしは一人ひとりで新幹線しんかんせんの駅えきへ行いきました。
駅えきの中なかは広ひろくて、切符きっぷの売うり場ばがわかりませんでした。
駅えきの人ひとに「すみません、売うり場ばはどこですか」と聞ききました。
その人ひとは私わたしと一緒いっしょに歩あるいて、道みちを教おしえました。
私わたしはすぐに切符きっぷを買かうことができました。
その人ひとはとても親切しんせつで、うれしかったです。

• て-form linking actions The て-form joins two actions in order: Xて、Yます means ‘do X and then Y’. Only the last verb carries the tense and the politeness. その人ひとは私わたしと一緒いっしょに歩あるいて、道みちを教おしえました。(“That person walked with me and showed me the way.”)
• Linking adjectives (〜くて / 〜で) To describe something with two adjectives, an i-adjective drops い and takes くて (いい becomes よくて), and a na-adjective or noun takes で; only the last one carries です. 駅えきの中なかは広ひろくて、切符きっぷの売うり場ばがわかりませんでした。(“The inside of the station was spacious, and I didn’t know where the ticket counter was.”)

Two days ago, I went to the shinkansen station alone.
The inside of the station was spacious, and I didn’t know where the ticket counter was.
I asked a station staff member, “Excuse me, where is the ticket counter?”
That person walked with me and showed me the way.
I was able to buy the ticket immediately.
That person was very kind, and I was happy.
